"Institutionalising Red Teaming in the Australian Army will objectively improve our decision making for the future and guard against group think and false assumptions. How often do we as professional military officers and soldiers actively test our plans to failure? View them independently from alternate positions? Attack our desired end states or reverse-analyse our success criteria? Probably not enough because we are under pressure to develop the concept of operation, or don’t have the inclination – after all our plans are pretty good right? Perhaps not."
